100% Precision Score on Challenge 25 Standard Earns “Highly Effective Compliance” Classification

The rigorous evaluation validates Paravision Age Estimation as a highly accurate and reliable solution for age-restricted services, with Paravision’s results making it one of only six companies globally to receive ACCS’s highest-level designation. 

The Importance of ACCS and Age Estimation

ACCS is the leading independent certification body for age estimation technologies. Their rigorous testing evaluates age estimation systems against strict performance, fairness, and compliance standards. One of the most critical tests is the Challenge 25 standard, which evaluates whether an age estimation system can correctly identify individuals who should be asked for ID verification before purchasing age-restricted products.

Paravision Age Estimation Performance

Paravision Age Estimation was tested using a diverse dataset of 318 participants, aged 17 to 20, ensuring representation across different demographic groups. The evaluation included key performance metrics such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Standard Deviation (SD), Failure to Acquire Rate (FTA), Precision, and Demographic Accuracy. Test images were captured under varied real-world conditions, ensuring robustness and reliability.

Paravision’s system performed at the Highest Compliance Level for Level 3 Age Estimation. Highlights from the metrics include: 

  • 100% precision in Challenge 25 compliance, with 0% of subjects falsely identified as over 25 years old.
  • 0% Failure to Acquire Rate, meaning that every image submitted for analysis returned a result. 
  • Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 1.37 years, showcasing high accuracy in age estimation. 
  • Standard Deviation of 1.17, demonstrating high reliability of the system.

The new certification for Paravision Age Estimation builds on the company’s recent success in industry tests and reports.
