New Contract to Transition Multi-Year R&D Effort to Operational Solution
San Francisco – October 16, 2024 – Paravision, a leader in trusted Identity AI, today announced a major new contract with a Five Eyes government partner to transition its deepfake detection technology from research and development into a production-grade system. Building on the success of its initial R&D program and the extensive proof-of-concept work delivered, this new phase will focus on enhancing the AI model’s capabilities with further R&D and delivering a fully operational product for real-world applications.
The contract represents the culmination of a multi-year collaboration between Paravision and its Five Eyes partner, which started in 2022 and was expanded in 2023. With this latest project, Paravision will refine and expand its deepfake detection software for deployment in rapidly evolving, high-stakes environments. The program’s focus on operationalizing this technology will enable the partner to detect and prevent the misuse of synthetic media by bad actors in government use cases across security, identity, media, and communications.
By transforming their advanced deepfake detection technology into a production-grade system, Paravision and their trusted government partner are addressing one of the most pressing challenges in government identity and digital media today.
Moving all the way from initial concept through to production with a prestigious government partner is a testament to Paravision’s commitment to innovation and our ability to deliver at the highest level. We are honored to have earned the trust of such a respected group, and excited to continue the evolution of our Identity AI product family.

Deepfake technology, which allows the creation of hyper-realistic synthetic media that is difficult to distinguish from real footage, poses increasing risks to national security, democracy, and individual privacy. Paravision’s cutting-edge Deepfake Detection, developed over the course of several years, leverages its leading AI capabilities which have previously topped the rankings in key industry benchmarks such as NIST FRTE and the DHS Biometric Technology Rally, and works hand-in-hand with Paravision Liveness to ensure authentic identity across a wide range of use cases.
